Several have commented in the thread about the F-Pace being too big compared to the Macan. Here are the dimensions in mm, courtesy of https://www.automobiledimension.com/

F-Pace 4747 x 1936
Macan 4726 x 1922
Stelvio 4687 x 1903

So the Macan is bigger than the Stelvio and the F-Pace is only bigger than the Macan by a child's thumbnail in length and width.

Actually, I think the Macan is a shade too large in dimensions for todays roads, parking spaces and garages and I'd prefer something 5 to 10 cm smaller in length and width.

Funnily enough, when I was reading up on the Litchfield modifications to the Carrera T, the motoring journalist who was road testing the car (Autocar?) referred to Iain’s modified T as a “gentleman’s GT3”. ;) :)

When I test drove an F-Pace for an hour I gave up after 10 minutes, muttering "Awful barge!" as I walked away.

If I could get the golf clubs in a 911 I’d swap. Hybrid panamera also a tight squeeze due to battery under boot (clubs and trolley like some krypton factor head f*ck trying to load the boot!!). Cayenne simply a bus. Macan was the perfect compromise, bit of performance, nice place to sit, plenty of space. Is it a sports car, not in the truest sense, like the GT comparison though 👍

I agree the Macan works very well as a grand tourer, and feels like one on long journeys, but I also recall watching this video and it appears to be a capable off-roader too (even though this was done with the lower sprung GTS version).

I did a tour around the lake district with mine and it was impressively relaxed and reassuring on very steep climbs and descents. I was on tarmac the whole time, but there was also quite a bit of flooding. It also sorted out any aquaplaning calmly before I had to react. Just impressively calm and capable in any conditions, and it felt completely right there. Also an excellent car for narrow country roads since it is not especially wide, you have a great view ahead, and it deals with ruts and potholes very stably.

I think the Macan is more than a GT.
