Leaning towards Swindon by the sounds of it.
I'll pay them a visit in the near future as I need some plates made up.

DL Swindon. Establish a good rapport with service and technical depts and they will look after you. Noticed that when there was a minor issue with my new S, the sales person with whom I dealt with over 6 months ago was made aware that I had booked a technical review

And they’re usually up for a bit of haggling on parts prices. ;)

I'll be taking my 2020 GTS to Swindon in April for its 4 yr service. I've previously (on my Gen 1 Turbo) used Guildford or Reading - this will be my 1st time at Swindon. They're further from me (1hr rather than 1/2 hr) but came in £300 cheaper for the 4yr service which included PDK fluid change. They also get good reports, so fingers crossed....

I’d forgotten that my brother bought a 996 from Dick Lovett Swindon many years ago, and that was a painless experience apparently.
The closest I came to dealing with Dick Lovett Swindo was nearly (but not) buying a Lotus Elise from their Lotus branch.
So Swindon it is :)

I will be there in early May for the same. As a matter of interest what have you been quoted £ for this service?
