It wasn't hard to imagine the Macan's Audi-chassis DNA relation last winter when early Macan's featured flared Audi Q5 bodywork with aggressively lower suspension. This winter, most mules now wear disguised Porsche bodywork though the shot above shows that Audi-bodied crossovers are still in the test mule convoy active in winter testing.
Just how much the Macan will share with the Q5 remains to be seen. Performed developments for the Macan likely have some effect on future developments for B-chassis Audi's as well. One of the most interesting rumours we've heard is of a new twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 that's likely capable of bigger power than the current supercharged 3.0 TFSI. Likely too the Macan will make use of Audi's rear Sport Differential, something we've grown to love in many Audi's and something we hope to eventually see in the SQ5.
