I got my new SD checked for the 10mph click (or clunk or clack). Apparently its the dynamic engine mounts tightening at about 1500rpm and it's in all Macans. Seems odd as the sound is so conspicuous, wonder why there's no fix.

This sounds suspicious...
  • 1500 rpm wouldn't equate to 10mph
  • blipping the throttle to 1500 would mean it wouldn't happen when you pull away.
  • Macans don't have dynamic engine mounts, do they?

Could it be the doors locking?

This was given a good going over here:

It seems it was not resolved.

Yea, the OP seems to have been rogered by their OPC on the reason for the clunk (presumably obviously not the doors etc, viz original thread).

Shame.

Many starts today. Not one clunk.

I tried some off throttle pull-aways.
I tried some manual deliberately into 2nd before 10mph
I did a full bore LC.
(Twice actually, because it's a laugh)
I tried with manually locking the doors first.

Not once did I get a spurious clunk.
