I know you Diesel guys are reaping great numbers, but I'm interesting in other Petrol numbers.

Earlier I did a 50 mile trip from Birmingham to Notts, 30m of M42 heavy foot, 30/40mph road works after the M1 then stop start to NG14.

Averaged 19.9mpg... expected a little better to be honest...
Car (Turbo) has done 600miles so I thought the really thirsty period was over.... maybe not....

Other views?

ps. bollocks... alarm going off again!!!!!!!!......

I collected my diesel from Leicester today and my lift was in a petrolS. That was showing 20mpg and the sales guy said that's typical in an S.

Didn't take long for the diesel boys to hijack this thread did it!!

As long as my turbo does more than 12mph I'll be well happy. If it was economy that worried me I'd buy a hybrid...but it doesn't!

As Malk said more Shell points for my BA companion voucher! FrankieB2014-05-24 20:47:18
White turbo with red interior now collected!!

Pay using a BA Amex card and you'll get your companion voucher in about a month on a petrol car

After just under 500 miles I'm averaging 28.2 in my Petrol S.
Only 30 odd miles on the motorway, rest done around town and dual carriageway.
About the only thing I'm happy with at the moment, Having loads of build quality issues and today my drivers door must have moved. Opened the door this morning it's managed to crunch on the bonnet/wing and taken the paint off the door.
Not impressed at all. Will be visiting the dealer tomorrow to tell them what I think.
