Well I got it back today, Sport Plus mode seems to be a hoot - how did I not spec this at build?

It really makes the Turbo come alive...

Ha Ha, kind of pleased I don't have the clock as I am not sold on it to be honest.

I have sport plus retrofitted to my Turbo Macan - however when I press it on - the Rev doesn’t go to 5000, but 2000rpm - and launch control does jot come on. Am I right to suspect that launch control could only be activated with the chronos? Has anyone able to try launch control with sport plus retrofitted?

Activating launch control....press Sport plus button, hold the brake hard down with your left foot, hard press to the floor with the accelerator, this will take it to max revs, message will appear in right hand binnacle confirming launch control activated, hold throttle to keep rev limiter active, release left foot......hold on tight!

Hi Paul,

Yes - I have tried that. Sport plus button — Brake hard — Gas down to floor.
But rev counter only goes to 2000 and launch control message does not come up.

Please note that my Sport plus is a retrofit from Porsche... is this normal? No launch control on retrofitted sports plus?

From the Tequipment site:
"SPORT PLUS button in the control panel in the centre console for even sportier tuning of the engine and chassis, including performance display in the PCM and the instrument cluster. With Launch Control racing start function and race track shift strategy.
Compared to the Sport Chrono package available as an option from the factory, the engine speed of petrol engines is lower when the Launch Control racing start function is used. Contact your Porsche Partner for further information.
Please note: Does not include Sport Chrono stopwatch. Only in conjunction with Porsche Communication Management (PCM)"

I had it retrofitted to my 2014 Mac Turbo and launch control worked as advertised - sport plus, hard on brake pedal, hard on throttle, message appears, let go of brake. All the chrono functions were there in the PCM/MFD. The only thing missing was the physical clock.

I know yours is a 2017, so things might be a bit different. You're better off asking your dealer, as it could be a fault.
