Since the so called final " fix" software update last November we are so far hassle free. What I have noticed now though is first gear if you are not putting your foot down at all . Is so short its hardly worth having, it changes so quickly it more like a stutter than a gear change.
I had my software upgrade carried out beginning of December and so far not had any dpf regen warnings whereas before I got them about every 3 weeks. Fingers crossed.
I have not noticed any difference in the gearbox and you may therefore benefit from a PDK reset.
It was interesting to see a letter in Autocar recently where a chap had bought a new petrol Ford Fiesta with a GPF and he was getting regular regen warnings which were necessitating meaningless motorway runs to clear the filter.

I hope not for the sake of those on here who are buying them, but knee jerk emissions add ons by the motor industry have a tendency to throw up issues for at least the first few years. I would be surprised if it was any different with the fitment of petrol particulate filters. Manufacturers had no intention fitting them before the emissions scandal so have now quickly cobbled them on the their petrol engines as a quick fix. The early adopters of the next few years will get the privilege of racking up real life test mileage

After having my software update done in early December I today got the grey dpf regen warning. Fortunately I was only 2 mins from M62 and had time to give the car a good blast in sport mode for 20 mins. Will it be another 5 months before next warning or will it be every 3 or 4 weeks as before?

So exactly 2 weeks since my last grey coloured dpf regen warning I got another one today. This time I was not just as close to the Motorway and by the time I got there the warning had disappeared. I still gave the car a blast down the Motorway but suspect the regen never occurred. I suspect that the latest software is no better than before. I have a long drive down to Southampton next weekend but if I keep getting dpf warnings I will be back on to Porsche UK once again.
Just had grey coloured dpf warning this morning . First warning since last May. My car is due it’s first service in a weeks time and am informed there is yet another DME software upgrade. Will find out what the latest software is supposed to do.
I had a software update last Sept Mark when my SD was in for the 111pt extended warranty check. So far not even a sniff of a regen needed BUT mpg on normal runs down straight away from approx 40 to 36! No change in driving style or effect of cooler winter temps etc - just mainly down to what they changed - in my opinion.
I’m happy to take that as a good end result though + hope the service sorts yours out

Very similar experience. Had the "re-programming DME control unit" done last May when in for its 1st service. My average has stayed 36 mpg, no DPF warnings and no more AdBlue needed to date
