I did try to really press about that Hawkeye but still left a bit unsure! Got my SD new 29/9/16 and certainly not had update done since then but technician confirmed that there were no updates showing today + he therefore "thought" I'd got latest software.

**** Forgot to mention - also took advantage of the OPC's "Fill AdBlue tank up for £42" offer which they'd sent me an e-mail about last May. Took about 20+ litres so not too bad a deal. :)

They will pay about 35p per litre for AdBlu, I pay about 70p for the truck on the road...

One thing he did say to me which I have heard before is they make £5k per car. Regarding the fella who had his car changed I think it was pretty new, can't see us getting away with that with a 18 month old car with £20k on it. It will need to be a shit hot deal or we wont have it.

I would say £5k is the minimum margin they aim for. I have no doubt that they make more than £5k on many of their cars. And if they take in a part exchange on a car, that's two chances to make a nice little profit. Not that I begrudge them. :geek:

That is the reason why I advise others who are looking for PX prices on their Macans to look at the current price of a similar car on the Porsche approved and then take off £7K because sales have to pay the service department £2 - £2.5 K for inspection service/extra warranty and any minor repairs.

Thanks Col......nice to be back + SD hopefully all sorted. Even sent e-mail to Dealer Principal saying thanks for professional treatment!

At least had excuse to go to OPC (now on 1st name terms with new Service staff) and got invite to preview new Cayenne S in next couple of weeks. 👍

Will still be keen to hear your views. :)

Someone on here saw one in the metal and was a bit disappointed. (VanB possibly?)
