So... here we go.
Up at 5:30 and 6:35 departure. Arrived PEC at 7:55 -15 mins inside Apple prediction!
The day officially began just after 9 with a briefing overview of how the day was to be organised. This had been preceded by registration and a full breakfast.
There were 36 attendees split into 6 equal groups of pairs with the day comprising 6 events. Both am and pm sessions lasted about two and a half hours - so 25 mins each between the two drivers. Our running order was as follows.
am
Panamera and Macan - public roads with ex-plod instructor.
911 then 911 Carrera 4 GTS - Handling circuits
Finally instructor driven demo on low friction in a circa 2007 GT3 RS
Lunch
pm
Cayenne off road demo (impressive albeit pretty irrelevant given zero interest in Cayenne and the fact that the only time Cayenne owners ever go off-road is at PEC) and then a public road drive. But impressive nonetheless!
Boxster on the kick plate and then a Cayman on the ice hill - solo with face to face and/or via radio instructor input as required
Finally general awareness talk followed by the sports science bit... then afternoon tea.
The business part of the day finished about 4:40
Impressions... clearly not everything suits everyone and most of us have done some or all before but each tranche was mostly long enough to be of benefit.
There was a good amount of time on the skid plate and ice hill and driving solo was unexpected and great fun (too few instructors to fill all the seats).
Predictably I guess is that the above and the 911 time come out top of the list. This was made even better for me as my instructor was the inimitable Rob Newall who will be driving this on Saturday...

An enjoyable day - and my daughter had a ball so that makes me happy regardless.

As Dandock says:
<<This was made even better for me as my instructor was the inimitable Rob Newall who will be driving this on Saturday... >>
We had the same gentleman a couple of months ago and he made the session doubly worthwhile.
New petrol S coming next week!

I have to admit that chatting to Rob Newall about the Masser proved somewhat of a distraction. But why not.
