Any meets organised around the Midlands?

Hello all ...

Just wondering if there are any meets organised on this forum in and around the Midlands? It would be good to meet up with other car enthusiasts for a chat. There were regular meets organised on the M3 forums which were open to all.

Meets are all organised by members; you start to suggest stuff, only to find you are the organiser.....

How many members around the Midlands who would be interested if something was organised?

As the Midlands is clearly pretty central, you may get a good take up. So far I've travelled from Swindon to Lincoln, Chester, The Yorkshire Dales and Beaulieu (not driving a Macan though).

Can I suggest that you sctatch the ....... members around the Midlands ...... text.

Meets I have initiated resulted in members travelling quite a distance.

Sounds good Col let's ditch the Midlands and make it general.

What's the general format of the meets?
Something like meet ... coffee ... admire cars ... chat ... photos and maybe a drive?

If I'm free, I'll try and get there - no matter where it is.

Format sounds good to me Hitman + sometimes there's a meal available nearby for those who want it.

As Col and WC suggested, try and make a suggestion with a handful of dates and see how many people with and/or without Macans put up their hands. You might be surprised. I remember one meet which Col had organised and I turned up with my 911 and one member turned up in his milkfloat having done the morning rounds delivering milk

I really enjoyed myself. Lovely bunch of people.

If you search for the one Col arranged at Frodsham, you'll see some ideas as to what to look for in terms of venue etc.

If the dates are good for me, I'll certainly turn up with my not-Macan and hopefully WC will turn up with his Panamera.
