About 11 years ago I had a Volvo S60. One evening a van coming the opposite direction swayed over the middle of the road and clipped by wing mirror causing it to break off.

This mirror was electric and heated and the cost to replace was over £600. Thankfully it was my company car so I didn't have to pay.
