Doesn't the car need to have been off for some time (2 hours is it?) before the trip rezeroes itself?
Yes it does, my point was that the range is calculated from the last " trip" rather than the overall average which is why it can vary.

If you go straight from the filling station to a motorway and cruise at around 65mph the range will increase steadily.

There was a fifteen mile section of the M5 with a 50 limit and average speed cameras until recently. At the end of that section the range was always extended by 100 miles. Ten miles of making up for lost time brought it down to a more realistic figure. ;)

As much as I'm pleased by how the MPG is in the Macan if you drive conservatively, I bought it to be driven.

If I wanted cheap running costs, I'd have bought a Quashquai and joined everyone else I know.

Ditto, but chipped and less restrained

After 10 months my trip computer is showing 40.9 mpg average and usually gives 600+ miles for my 75 litre tank.

Petrol Used etc.jpg

Just calculating things out - at 40.9 mpg for my 75 litre tank I should be averaging a possible range of approx 675 miles (as long as there was a petrol station just at the point I run out of fuel!) and can't grumble with that - albeit actual will probably be less than Trip Computer indicates. Mixed runs, often use of "Sport" and, with being 10 months old, its been through winter use/lower mpg in cold etc.

PS....shame the "Total Trip" reading (shown above) stops at 99 hours 59 minutes - would've been nice to see how long I'd actually been driving the beast! :(

Ah yes. My trip has alos topped out at that time. Obviously they didn't intend it to keep running for the total time you own the car.

Can't complain at 40.9mpg (indicated) for a 3.0 litre V6 Porsche, Dave! :)

Certainly not Simon - in fact quite impressed re the stick I've often been giving it!

Overall, mpg was showing 39.2 last October after I'd run it in, dropped down to 37.4 this March after cold winter months, now enjoying 40.9 + will see with interest (without a specifically saving fuel driving style) what future brings.

How's your Panny doing re mpg/range etc?

Have covered nearly 5,000 miles now I think, since the end of March. Drove about 330 today. To Broadstairs in Kent and back. Mostly motorway. Averaged about 29 mpg including several spirited bursts where conditions permitted... ;) When I filled up the 90 litre tank, I think it was showing a range of 575 or thereabouts... :geek:

Blimey, 90 litres - that's a big tank but certainly giving a good range and reasonable mpg.

Nice to see you getting a lot of use from it as well. :)
