If you were running a a MK1 focus I'd suggest touching it up but on a £50/£60k Porsche I'd get it done professionally,I acquired a small paint only scuff on the n/s/r w/a that someone did for me,I live in Sheffield but The official Porsche body shop run by JCT600 is in Bradford, there is a JCT600 Audi dealership in Sheffield so I thought they could do it but they didn't want to do it because they weren't Porsche Approved and therefore couldn't guarantee the repair or colour match and suggested I took it to Bradford,a bit of messing about but that's what I did, service from them was great and loaned me a new BMW,on collecting the Macan the repair was absolutely perfect, cost well as I'd bought the Macan from JCT600 Porsche dealership in Sheffield the body shop did it me at cost to them £180 .

Agree with smart repair. I had chips away do a similar job on my wife's old Q5. Came out perfect and no matter how hard I looked I could never see it.
They are a franchaise and only as good as the person doing the job. Cost around £140 and took a few hours all outside the house.

Is this the first time that this forum might actually save someone some money?! The original post was suggesting at least £2k, now we are down to £150 fo the 2 repairs.

Neighbour wants me to touch up her crappy car so that cost me £10 via a Halfords kit and my GTS is booked in for a mobile SMART repair for £200. Pretty good result

Thanks for your advice.

Insurance claim would have cost you at least 5 times that....
