There was also a rather nice 911 GT3RS in the Porshce owners club car park but I couldn't take a picture of that because there was a bloke sat in in talking on his phone!

Hi Ian,

I saw the GT3RS and very nice it was too. They should have had it on display instead of the 911 targa! I had a chat with the owner and it seems he had only put 400 miles on it since buying it last September and as he had travelled from Lancs half of that mileage had been put on to go to RIAT. He also mentioned that he had a GT3 too as well as a few other Porsche. Nice position to be in πŸ˜€

Clearly I am in the wrong job! A pity to have a car like that and not drive it. Also an odd choice of car (if you have so many) to drive on the motorway and across a field. As you say, they could have displayed it instead of the targa.

Surprisingly good getting in. 2 brief bottle necks, but that was Friday rush hour traffic rather than air show traffic.
Getting out - OK until I hit a complete standstill a few miles away. Went an alternative way (A417) and ran into trouble there - but again, I think it was mostly the usual Friday rush hour traffic. I suspect it will be a different story today/tomorrow though. Especially at the end of the flying at 6pm when there will probably be a mass exodus.

Another great photo, Ian. Very professional and obviously taken with a nice bit of kit. πŸ‘
