When I ordered my GTS, I deliberately ordered the speed limit indicator to help protect my license.

After two weeks of driving it, I find it is nearly impossible to get the number in the middle of the tacho to be less than the speed limit number showing in the right hand side of the display

This car is too quiet and refined, and too quick to be 'license safe'

Change the speed limit indicator to kmph and keep your speedo as mph.

Problem solved.

Thank you chaps - all good suggestions. I like Pete's idea best - I might try it in defense when I am done for speeding ....

One advantage of having old TomTom - it sounds an alert when straying above speed limit (as well as being able to use Pocket GPS Worlds camera DB, unlike latest versions)

There are clearly no problems whatsoever with any of the comments above.
My noises come from the passenger seat and that makes no difference to the speed I go either.
GTS 😀
