That's a great tour. I've done it twice. Absolutely fascinating, you'll really enjoy it. And you have a rare nice day to watch the rolling chassis being pushed from one shed to another for the next set of bits to be bolted on!

Simple Question-which UK fuel is currently 98 Octane as Porsche recommends?

Filled up with BP Ultimate recently and it said 97 Octane on pump!
Just filled up with newest Shell V-power which now replaces Nitro+ and NOWHERE on their website does it say RON number. I believe defunct Nitro+ was 99 RON but website just states that new fuel has nothing taken out?

So - which UK fuel is now 98 RON? Searched the web - can't find the answer!

Not Esso - 97 also ....but mine’s been fine on it for 14000 miles.

According to Wiki Shell V Power sold in Germany is 100 RON.

So... is that better or overkill?

Yes, V-Power is 99 in the UK, 100+ in Europe. And yes, for normal driving it probably is overkill, but the engine management system will ramp power up or down depending on the knock point of the fuel being used under full load.

Tesco momentum is also 98 RON I believe. I have used that for years in my GTi and continue to do so for the Macan. There is a forecourt a mile away so bit of a no brainer

Hold that - found it in the personal trainer video????!! WTF!!!!!!
Confirms new Shell V-power replacing Nitro+ is still 99 RON. So will continue to use Shell!
