Leaving the Macan Fold
Good move on all accounts, Spook. And great news on the spec details and the petrol S prices . Don't forget to pop in from time to time even if it's just to see what Wingco is driving.

Sounds like a perfect upgrade as a Macan as good as it is, is not a 911.
Look forward to the pics and echo simons comments that there is great interest on this forum for anything Porsche

Great to hear Spook - and please post your code on here for your 991 so that maybe we can all add and tinker! You won't regret it - I think as far as Sports Cars go there is nothing better - fantastic to drive, relatively practical, reliable, low depreciator (if you spec it right), can be used as a daily driver, and not overly in your face! I've had three now and am looking at what variant of the 991 to purchase next.
Current:
992 Turbo (July 23)
MG4 EV Trophy Long Range
VW Caravelle 6.1 4motion DSG
Suzuki Swift Sport
Previous Macan SD, Macan Turbo, Macan Turbo, 991.1 C4GTS coupe, 996 C4S coupe, Macan Turbo, 991.2 C4GTS coupe; 991.2 GT3; 992 C2S; 991.1 Turbo S

+1 ^^^
The only reason I even considered a Macan over a 911 was for the extra space/practicality. Every time I go in the showroom to look at their SUVs I soon end up drooling over the 911s instead. Nothing feels as planted on the road with that amazing steering response and surprisingly refined ride. I haven't driven a 991.2 yet though, so not sure about the new engines. Last one I drove for a weekend was a 991.1 C4 GTS, which was very nice indeed. Might have bought it had we not been in the middle of a house move. I regularly did the school run in a 997.2 C4S for nearly 3 years, which was actually fine for the job, but I let it go when the kids started complaining about the cramped rear.
