Hi All,

It's been great reading and exchanging information on this forum but it looks like I'll be leaving the Macan Fold. :o

Mrs Spook and I are looking to buy a new 911 C2 in March 18 , we have test driven one and now we are just sorting out which OPC to place our order with. Yes we know the new platform 911 will be out in 2019 with the digital dash ect but the price will also increase so March is the best time for us to make the change.

We've done 6500 miles and had a written offer today of £55K (for sale in August) from one OPC and I'm waiting for mine to get back to me.

I think if you don't need the practicality of a Macan, then a 911 is a no-brainer choice. Enjoy!

Be interesting to hear the other offers you have. 55k is approx what OPC's are retailing for.

There are a few ifs

If I only needed 2 seats

If I could get all our shopping in it

If I could get all our luggage in it

If I could get out of it

Then I would certainly join the 911 fraternity.

Alas its the last If that is the nail in the coffin.

So good luck too you and your Mrs and make the most of the 911 S/GTS/GT3/Spyder etc whatever you decide upon.

S is awesome and GTS even more so, driven both at PEC, still smiling thinking of the drives and that ..... If Only

Good luck with the 911. Not for me with growing kids and many years of private school fees to pay, but maybe one day I'll join you. Do post a pic or two on the forum. A few (welcome) ex Macaneers on here so why not!

My own OPC have matched the £55K this afternoon with a little reluctance as long as I give them a £5k deposit for the C2. They did mention it did not have a pano roof, however they also said not many people use it anyway.

The original OPC have advised they would list it at £59k, it doesn't need any attention and is Gtechniq CS blacked. When they inspected it they said did it have Sat Nav, I said yes , good was the reply as it's really hard to sell a Macan without it .

Now do i sell and lease something for 6 months ?

Not bad £4.5 K for 15/16 months ownership

They also advised they list Petrols S ( when they get one) for £1K to £2k below the original invoice price.

As there is only is Mrs Spook and our 18 year old cat we don't really need the seats and we always holiday in the US ( taxi to airport) so no need for luggage space. We did try a 718 Boxster & Cayman but we felt they were not refined enough for us .

Exciting times, Spook!

I owned a 991.1 C2 and borrowed a 991.2 C2. Both were awesome. I aborted an order for a new 991.2 on the way to buying my current Panamera 4, as for me, the need is still there for four proper seats.

Please do stay in regular touch. Judging from my infamous 100 page 911 thread, there is a lot of interest on here for non-Macan Porsches! And the forum members generously put up with Arif, Jeeves, Virage and me...!
