Thanks Ian, I wondered what the little orange light was for, I must read the handbook one day.

We have always had darkened rear windows (kids) and the auto dimming mirrors so always worked well.
To be honest I think if you have the darkened rear windows then the auto dim mirror may not be required as when I switch the auto dimming mirrors off it's all still fine. Been same on my last 5 cars but I seem to always tick the boxes.

No need, we've read it for you. Just ask here, it's easier.

I have auto dimming on the 718 - but I probably wouldn't recommend it as it has a major flaw. In such a low car it was a no-brainer to spec for me initially, but the reality is that it isn't that good. Why? Because right around the dimmed part of the interior mirror there is a section of about 3mm that goes undimmed. Therefore if a following car's headlights get into that little gap (which they do quite frequently), you'll be blinded. It is a constant pain. The exterior mirrors are the same, but at least you can adjust them out of the way a bit.

Before you lock down, go into the OPC and inspect a similarly equipped car.

Just noticed I have that too, only had the car since March 2016!

I recently saw the same on the Macan ext mirror, hard to see in daytime, not done much after dark driving yet, so unaware of possible issues.

That's the chap BBR, and on the interior mirror it's pretty much the same. PITA when you get blinded!

As mentioned earlier I had an evening/night drive down the M6-M5 recently. Once it was fully dark the system was perfectly good - albeit not much came up behind us 😜. I did note though that in certain twilight situations the sensor was fooled and dip wasn't enacted.

My 21 inch black classics have gone in for full repaint but due to another fault.

I did notice however a small white chip on one wheel as I cleaned them last week. But one small chip in nearly 10k not bad better than the bonnet 😩

Thanks for the heads up on the dipping mirrors :D

I think i'll give it a miss and just use the good old manual lever and have the darkened glass on the C2.

Any more comments on how their black wheels are standing up to daily use? Thanks SQ52GTS for your comment
TIA
