Not sure if this has been posted before - couldn't see it. A bit more information rather than just spy shots...with details on new engines.

Macan Facelift details
I think we've seen some or all of this before but how much we can believe remains to be seen especially when the piece states the following... 'and contains a new function called Porsche Connect...'

I see they talk about a change to Panamera type dash? I cant ever remember a facelift that fundamentally changed dash architecture so will be amazed if it happens this time.

Re the Panamera dash. I read that a couple of times and think they're referring just to the screen.

I read that article a few weeks ago. Nothing new to learn here. It's going to be the usual subtle exterior facelift with no real world advantage, but more importantly a whole new set of engines, which is pretty significant. Sounds like the hybrid could be the most powerful version too, but also the heaviest.

997.1 to 997.2 they changed the PCM from 2.1 to 3.0; a huge difference and leap forward.
I wouldn't be surprised if they change it.......

Not saying they wont update the PCM to a more advanced type, as in the 997.2, but as in that car it will be something that fits in the same footprint as the current unit. In fact they have already done that last year so no reason they wont do the same again for the facelift.Rigger wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 3:17 pm "I see they talk about a change to Panamera type dash? Very true...... it was the same footprint/DIN but boy did they make it difficult - if not nigh on impossible for the average owner - to make their 997.1 look like a 997.2 from a tech perspective.......Rab J wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 5:22 pmNot saying they wont update the PCM to a more advanced type, as in the 997.2, but as in that car it will be something that fits in the same footprint as the current unit. They seem confident that the facelifted Macan will get the 12.3" central touchscreen, and a pair of 7" screens within the instrument binnacle, as featured in the new Panamera. The article is less sure about the central rows of buttons being replaced by the central console from the Panamera, with the gloss black finish and the 'virtual' buttons with haptic feedback.
