I have put down a deposit for an I-Pace. Could be risky, new model, new drive-train, new technology plus Jaguar. However the build quality should be excellent as it is being made in Graz by Magna Steyr, as is the E-Pace. I am prepared for early software glitches as it will give me an excuse to drive it to Brighton .

Surely you'll buy it on a PCP to protect residuals?

I will pay for it outright, if It comes up to my expectations and I buy one. The plan is to produce18000 in 2018, so demand should outstrip supply and residuals will mirror the Macan for the first two years at least.

At least you have your eyes open when purchasing. 👍
It does look very nice indeed. It will sell well no matter what and it would be very nice if they nail some of their other potential issues at the same time.
GTS 😀

Have they given you a rough delivery date? Cost? Website just says late 2018. I'm considering this
Diesel S ordered September 2014, delivery schedualled September 2015.

Nothing concrete. Hopefully prices and specs will be announced if and when the production version is launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. I think the first deliveries could start sooner than originally thought, maybe spring 2018. Jaguar has estimated top of the range F-Pace price + 15 %, which could equate to around £65000. Might be less if the £4500 OLEV grant is still available. Apparently there have been 500 deposits up to last month.

Have to say the Cayenne as nice as it is has always been to me an "Agricultural" Type SUV, I,ve always enjoyed driving them but they don't compare to the Macan, in my opinion, the Macan is a true Sports Utilty Vehicle in whatever guise, regarding the new Jags I most certainly will look at the E Pace when I am ready to move on but not yet, having spec,d a 2L Petrol E Pace it doesn't look to bad, I know people go on about depreciation, and I had it on my previous Jags, but what I was recently quoted to change to a GTS made me realise the Macan value bubble seems to have gone "pop" well with Diesels anyway
GTS Delivered April 2018
