Maybe I left my 911 purchase a bit late?

I was 30 when we had our first daughter, and my girls were 20 and 15 when I bought my 991.1...

And maybe if I wasn't divorced, I wouldn't now be on my third Porsche...?!

Still reckon I'll be back to a 911, or maybe a Cayman in the future... 8-)

I bought my first. 911 at 43. Kids were 3 and 5.. Sold my second 911 at 49 to buy the macan, mostly as the kids had grown out of the 911's
You have a perfect 5-6 year window where it'll work, so enjoy it.
Like you my dad isn't allowed the car he wants but can easily afford.
That's the exact argumentation and justification I put to my wife, if I wait too long it'll likely never happen as the kids won't fit in the back
It was easier breaking the news to my wife than it was my father..

20" wheels, sport tailpipes... Looks great - classy. I wonder what the Sport-Tex seating material will be like. Saw a positive review of it online in a 718 Cayman.

Is that 'final' spec or just 'latest' spec? ;)

Not long now before that 911 magic! :-D
Yes, that is the final spec. My wife will start divorce proceedings if she finds me on the configurator again. Even managed to get a discount, which is always nice, although not a big one.. just 1.5%.. still it added some nice touches to the interior which were "nice to haves".

I'm ready to be informed that I didn't haggle enough..

You did well to get 1.5%! Car looks great BTW and Agate Grey suits it nicely

+1. Even 1.5% is a really good discount, in my view! Although I bet they didn't use the term 'discount'. ;)

Are you using their Porsche finance by any chance...? :geek:

Yes... i have a fairly large deposit.. over £60k, and whatever I can put towards it come payday.. so it's HP for me.. not too expensive, ,monthly payments less than most.. I'm prepared to keep this car for a while. There are probably better deals out there, but life's too short..

Love the colour and wheels 👍

it's an itch I will need to scratch in the not too distant future.
There is nothing like a 911

Indeed. And the £1,500 'discount' may have been possible because you took their finance, so factor that in and your deal is probably ok. 👍

My wife actually encourages me to buy the car that I want. A 911 will be in there some day, but each time I go on the configurator it ends up and about £140k which is a little too rich for my wallet.

I spec a nice GTS4 at around £115k which is plenty affordable but only got the Macan in December and, after taking a bit of time to do so, have rather fallen in love with it. A 911 will be on the shopping list when it's time to change in a couple of years
