New Cayenne launches tonight -Macan inspired
The new Cayenne takes it design cues from the Macan so it will be interesting to see it launched tonight. Apparently you can see the official launch live via livestreaming but I am not sure how so I have tweeted Porsche GB to find out - no response so far. Anyone on the forum know where/how (as the official launch micro-site is a bit confusing)?

Well it certainly ended up as per the spy shots from eons ago.
The rear light bar a la Panamera looks stunning.
Overall the Cayenne is probably not surprisingly like a grown up Macan.
Interior quality looks great with the 12" centre display.
Only negative relates to the webcast translation, why did Porsche not ensure that the Translator could actually pronounce Porsche correctly?

Like the rear a lot and like the interior (as expected given the Panamera)...front a bit disappointing - I was hoping that they would have done something to give it some uniqueness even though the spyshots indicated that wouldn't happen

I watched the soporific launch last night. Initial impressions...
Front - uninspiring.
Rear - like the full width light treatment but do not like the new shape. They appear to have made the rear more upright- presumably to increase the boot space. I hope Porsche don't bend to the criticisms re space and this vertiginous treatment doesn't migrate to Macan - it may be a game changer.
Interior - much improved and points, I believe, to what we should expect in MY18 Macan. Now Cayenne has the new buttonless console I just don't see the old style being maintained or having any credibility for another FIVE years.
Generally - visually very much practical Cayenne with very little of the Macanesque dynamic. The overview of the performance looks good, though.

I think it looks heavy at the back. The interior looks fresh though.

Its looks are a bit disappointing to be honest. It still looks boxy and just doesn't have the wow factor of the Macan at launch. On the plus side, the interior tech seems light years ahead of the Macan's quite poor PCM system.
