Looking a bit more 'boxy' than a Macan is I guess a side effect of having much more interior room, including 54% more space in the boot (770 litres versus 500). The new Cayenne is definitely more evolution than revolution. This should not be much of a surprise, given that the Porsche 911 styling has famously changed at a snail like pace over the last 50+ years.

I love the way the passengers are smiling (rather than screaming) as the car is driven at high speed into a completely blind bend on a single lane mountain road.
As for the car I think the rear end is gross and that the strip lights just look tacky.
The interior looks as though it might be an improvement but it could hardly have been worse.
I think it only appears more boxy due to the sharper styling accents (front grille in particular) than the actual underlying profile - which looks almost identical to the outgoing model. If you switch them on the configurator you can hardly tell the difference in side profile. For a complete new model I think it is quite uninspired. If this wasn't a Porsche I think it would fall flat on its face due to the slightly dated styling. But I'm sure the drive and badge will carry it through. I'd even consider one myself if it wasn't so expensive with essential options.
I will post some photos of the car in the flesh (hopefully in a more inspiring black ) from Frankfurt as am there next Thursday. I am hoping it does look better in reality as had put a deposit on a petrol S a long time ago.

We look forward to that, Virage. If you do end up buying one, will your spec be similar to that which you posted on page 2 of this thread?

That's the spec that I have given to the OPC - but given deliveries won't start for RHD cars until April earliest, plenty of time to adjust / procrastinate as necessary!Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 5:19 pm We look forward to that, Virage.
