Only difference that I can see is that the screen that was on the car was made by Saint Gobain and the new one is made by Pilkington. No wind rustle or unwanted noises. Very happy with Autoglass.
Glad it went well. The Pilkington is an after market screen, not a Porsche OEM.

Your comment surprises me because I wouldn't have thought there were enough Macans in the UK to justify setting up an after market in windscreens. Pilkington are actually owned by a Japanese company but it's always possible that they are a supplier to Porsche. Not speaking from knowledge so quite happy to be proved wrong.

Glad your car is sorted, Andy. :)

Seems slightly alarming that seemingly so many Macans are having screens replaced. Seems out of proportion to the number of Macans on the road? :? Unless the fitter is the only one who does Macans in the UK and he travels the length of the country?

I could also be wrong. I straw poll here or wander round the OPC car park would find out. I requested an OEM screen on mine from Autoglass which had to be ordered in from Porsche this week and got a Saint Gobain the same as the one it was supplied with.

Just had new windscreen fitted by Nationwide.

Asked for Porsche windscreen, Saint Gobain fitted. Fitted in 3 hours and wanted full tank of fuel for calibration.

Interesting they asked for a full tank. I might have suggested half a tank to average the effect of fuel load, if there is one.

They didn't ask me. I think it was about half full.

What about the (bigger) effect of passengers (1, 2, 3 or 4), the weight of the driver and the effect of any luggage/cargo...? :?
