When I had to use Autoglass twice last winter they said policy was to use OEM glass with vehicles less than 3 years old.
Broken windscreen
Window screen being replaced tomorrow with official Porsche part via NFU no extra costs so I am happy with that

Picked up a chip in my windscreen yesterday on the motorway. Sounded like a rifle shot! Not in front of drivers view, quite low down and seems like a fairly minor chip. Really don’t want to go through the hassle of a replacement windscreen if I can avoid it...

Get Autoglass (or similar) to fill it with their resin. If it’s deep enough to let water into the laminate layers it may go milky over time (mind you, you’ll be changing it soon!)Wing Commander wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 9:33 am Picked up a chip in my windscreen yesterday on the motorway.
