I know we've all got different views, but it surprises me how many people buy Range Rover products and they still have reliability issues - unless my Neighbours and friends are just unlucky

I don't think many people actually make particularly informed car buying decisions unless they are real enthusiasts. Most people like a particular brand image and that's that. Range Rovers are seen as an obvious status symbol and many people will buy into them on that basis alone. They also have pretty good showroom appeal too. Poor reliability is something owners usually find out about later.
