Cleaning both cars today (McCann SD and 718S). Couldn't help but notice how much more filthy the McCann wheels were. With snow foam, the 718 wheels came up fine. With the McCann, it was necessary to get out the wheel woolies to give them a scrub. (I'm out of Bilt Hamber).

I get the fact that the McCann is a diesel, and about a tonne heavier, but really? Anyone else getting heavy brake dust? Original pads, 20k miles.

From new I have used Wonder Wheels Wheel Sealant that comes in a 300ml spray can.
Had very little brake dust alloy wheel surface build up as a result. Makes for very easy wheel wash cleaning too. ;)

Yeah, but it's mostly motorway driving with little or no braking. Mrs Happy works 50 miles away and it's motorway the whole way. But I get your point.

Gtechniq Wheel Armour.

I use Fall Out remover, then jet wash then Snow Foam and another jet wash with an occasional hand wash.

My Macan does dump a lot of dust perhaps some brake and some road dust onto the wheels. Given they are gloss black they loose their shine very quickly.

Purple Rain is great for cleaning, and G-Technique C5 to seal them.

And the reason for the extra brake dust is related to the extra weight and extra speed you are slowing from. Energy that needs to be lost goes up with the square of the speed, and force of the pads on the disk goes up linearly with the extra mass.
