Agree with Paul and VanB comments above.
Just saved me doing lots of typing πŸ˜€

This is generally a friendly forum in my experience. I have not been offended by anyone and hope I have not offended anyone either. If I have tough s??t πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜€πŸ˜
Read some other forums and after page 1 it turns into a full blown argument. This forum I found very helpful and generally a very nice bunch πŸ˜€

Use of emojis can make your comments come across a little better and how they are meant imo.

I think all the Macans that I have driven have been great. It's just what suits each individuals budget and requirements. πŸ‘

When someone is speccing their Macan it is very helpful to get many opinions - add air / bigger wheels / petrol / diesel etc..

When someone has actually spent a lot of money and bought their Macan it is really not that helpful to be told that it is crap / not as good as the Turbo pp. But fortunately we don't do it too often :D

I think one of the problems is that sarcasm doesn't translate well into the written word and we Brits are a pretty sarcastic bunch. You want to spend some time on rennlist if you want to see some serious bickering!
Never heard of rennlist before. Do they not have a Macan section - how racist :D

Avoiding a cr4p Macan is simplicity itself, include as a minimum in your configuration: -

1 Comfortable seats

2 PASM

3 PS+

4 RevCam

5 Spare wheel

And whatever engine and other extras you want.

It really is that easy to avoid not having a great Macan.

I would like to say that this forum is great because of the friendly and polite members. I always think it is because of the many British here.
when you take a look at the german forums then I always wonder how adults can behave like little children.

This is my first forum so it is possibly a normal forum thing.

I do get that we all think that we have the best car. If your ideal Macan is vomit coloured with 16" wheels then that is what you will buy. A few owners are on a tight budget but I think most are not and can happily put another Β£10,000 of extras on to their Macan. Most owners therefore end up with the ideal car for them. They then come on this forum and get told "you shouldn't have bought that you should have bought a Turbo PP". :? :? :? Really! :? :? :?

I have driven all the Macans (except the 2.0) and they are all great cars, pretty quick for an SUV. For normal driving there is not huge difference between all the models. :D
Agree all the Macans you've listed there are fabulous cars, drive the 2.0 and let me know what you think. I've been critical of the 2.0 version and have been accused of being overly critical as some people may not be able to purchase the more expensive models. My view has always been that for 2-3 k more you can get a Macan S (either diesel or petrol) and would much rather sacrifice some of those 'must have' options to buy the bigger engined car. Also the residuals are going to be higher on the S and Turbo models.

Happy to be shot down again but my advice would always be to save up a bit longer for the S model.

Last week I saw a new S awaiting its new owner. It had all the bling outside, full SD, privacy, painted badges & 21" black classics etc, a lot of money spent there; but no pasm or heated seats, with just halogen lights and basic 8 way seats. I wouldn't describe it as a 'crap' Macan, but definitely as an ill informed and poor choice, and even said so to the SE , he said it had been specced for looks rather than driving. I wonder what the production line workers think when they build a car like that. Do they whisper 'Das auto ist shcheize' to each other?

I also have spotted a few "crap looking" Macans. I presume the owner didn't agree and was happy with their purchase - I suppose that is the main thing :)

Oh dear, oh dear. :(

From the above comments, many will have thought my Macan to have been crap, or at least an ill-informed and poor choice.

It was a 2.0 on 21"s with no PASM, no air, no SC, no PSE, no pano, no reversing camera or surround, no PS+ and no spare wheel...

At least my current Porsche has PASM, air, SC, rear axle steering and full leather to complement the 21"s and the snazzy paint job, so maybe I am learning... ;)

P.S. I think that all Macans are great cars - including the 2.0 and the SD. :)

I certainly thought so. And don't start me on that shabby car you have now :D
