I now have the costs of covering my new Macan PS in case it helps anybody:

LV fully comp with 3 drivers for 72 year-old-fart in Kent. £495.66 including 180 days EU use and £600 excess
GAP unlimited replacement with Car2Cover - 5 years £389.67 based on invoice £68889
Alloy wheel cover also with Car2Cover - 3 years £153.90 with £10 excess per claim (3 per year)

Gtechniq cost me £499 from my OPC instead of £599 they normally quote.

Do you have diamond cut alloys ? because if you do check your car2cover insurance will cover those.

The Gtechniq product the OPC is usually offering is not the professional Crystal Serum (CS) it is the Crystal Serum Light (CSL) which anybody can buy and it is not guaranteed for so long .
OPC's are trying to cash in by offering CSL because of the increase of Gtechniq accredited detailers taking money from them.

Blurry

Re no claims discount. It's a good question as I don't currently have one in my own name due to not having owned a car in the UK for some years and the NCC I used to have has well lapsed. However I have been a named driver on my wife's car for years and she has 9 years NCD so LV offered to allow me the discount which made me a happy bunny. :D

Spook

No to diamond cut alloys.

On the Gtechniq issue, my OPC used a local retailer to come to them to treat my car. He apparently machine polished it and spent 4 hours on the job. Photos are in the gallery.

Was amazed by the thread on here regarding a new SQ5 that was recently detailed, where the detailer spent 25 hours on the car :o

I've ordered tyre insurance from MB & G Insurance for our Macan GTS with 21" Sport Classic wheels fitted.

Cost is £6.99 per month with no excess and up to 5 claims a year  No contract length just 30 days notice to give and the car must be under 90 days old.

I've previously used them for our BMW X5, 430i and 1 series (Through the main BMW Dealer in Carlisle) and their service is great. You can take your car to any tyre dealer you want.

Tel. 0191 259 6378

Regarding insurance I'm coming up 51 and have 20+ years NCD and have got Fully Comp insurance for £450 with a £300 excess (£200 compulsory/£100 voluntary)
Macan GTS collected 28/10/17 - Carmine Red http://www.porsche-code.com/PJ4B4758
991.2 GT3 Touring collected 24/03/18 - Carrara White Metallic http://www.porsche-code.com/PJ9T3NA0
997.2 GT3RS 2010 - Carrara White with Riviera Blue Decals and Wheels (Only 7,000 miles from New)
