Absolutely. Another reason why I felt the job wouldn't be done professionally.

Any good body shop can sort chips for you. They have the skills to fill a bit then sand back fill again etc and blend in the final repair. Shouldn't cost the earth.

Thanks again.
I have spoken to the OPC who say they will carry out the repair when my car is in for a headlight washer problem. They say they will use the touchup stick which I have, I have already used this on a sill chip but the colour to my eye is not a good match, a much darker silver so we shall see.

I've used ChipsAway for stone chips a few times, including on my Boxster quite recently, in different part of the UK. As someone else noted, they are a franchise and unfortunately there can be wide variances in the quality levels. I would use them again but only for very minor repairs.
