I was at the Panamera Sport Tourismo launch last night at my local OPC and we checked the status of my Macan GTS which had a completed build date of the 10/10/17.

The car is showing as 'on the ferry' so it is either at the port in Germany or on its way to Grimsby awaiting a transporter to deliver it to the dealer.

Once it arrives and has had its PDI it is getting collected in a covered trailer and being taken to Reep/Swissvax in Knaresborough to have the front end Suntek PPF film fitted and the full Gtechniq Crystal Serum Black applied to the body, wheels, calipers along with the interior and glass treated as well to give a long term protection. The body is also getting Gtechniq EXO Hydrophobic Coating applied to give it extra gloss and dirt repellant capabilities.

Then it will be returned to the dealer to get its final preparation ready for collection at the beginning of November.

I will add pictures as I get them of the different stages

Good news.

It seems as though it is either actually on the Ferry or in the UK dock holding facility awaiting processing. There are distinct progress codes that give an accurate report as to the status.

I initially saw it at the Frankfurt Motor Show and was impressed. Sitting in it last night and getting to play with the new LCD display for the Nav etc. an d I was even more impressed with the cabin area and the overall look and design. It also has 5 seats now which is a massive plus point.

The Turbo Hybrid has 680bhp and will outrun plenty of GT cars to 60 mph

Did you try the fifth seat? Photos and reviews seem to say it's of limited use, which is why Porsche refer to the seating as 4+1 (in the way that a 911 is a 2+2) rather than a proper 5 seater. :geek:

It was ok and can take 3 adults, but it's not as spacious for the middle seated adult as some cars, but I even find an Audi A6 struggles with 3 adults in the back for longer journeys.

Am looking forward to seeing it on Tuesday...

Looks like maybe a trio - Sapphire, a silver one and a Chalk/Crayon one, judging by photos from the Swindon event. :geek:

Got a call from my OPC and the Macan arrived with them yesterday and is going through it's PDI today and tomorrow then off to Reep for the PPF Film and Gtechniq detail.

Looks like it will be ready for collecting by the end of next week :D
