If as you say you can afford a new R8 and keep the Macan then it’s hard to see how the better option is to just keep the Macan????

"Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time" courtesy Pink Floyd.

Awesome sig! Here's another similar sentiment I've always liked:-

"Yesterday when Heaven's gates I contemplate, they seem so far. Today they ain't so far away and almost seem ajar" Ian Brown

Not sure if that fits in with the idea of a keeper!

I have had a wide range of cars, and I agree that the Macan is a great combination of capabilities in a single car.

I have a friend with a stable of motors, and I am sure he can pick the perfect car for any given journey, but if you want one to do everything, the Macan is hard to beat. Except fuel consumption :(

I have had "keeper" thoughts quite a few times in my car ownership experiences, which first of all means that its in the departure lounge. The keeper idea generally passes in a few months and its a goner.

I thought my Macan would be a keeper when I bought it. 11 months later ordered a C4GTS. Nothing wrong with the Macan which is hugely capable and comfortable and does everything well - i just missed the sports car experience

I thought my first Porsche would be a keeper (the Macan)...

Then I was convinced that my 911 would be a keeper...

Then...

Seriously determined to keep the Panny until the Mission E comes out...

Over 10k miles in since the end of March... :)

Have already told the SE to keep me posted on the Mission E which he said they've had previewed at the OPCs and is seriously impressive making the Tesla look prehistoric
