Just wondering how others react to service cost. My Macan SD is coming up for two years old and is shortly due for its first service. I have been quoted by a Scottish main agent, all prices including VAT :-

Intermediate service: £430.
Brake fluid change: £95.
Air conditioning service: £200

Total £725.00. The car has done 17000 miles. Keeping in mind the service is every two years only, I guess the cost is not too bad although slightly more than I was expecting. How does that cost compare with others on this forum?

I'd say that you were lucky not to need an oil change at 10k miles, as I 'needed' recently after only 7 months, as have at least a couple of Macaneers on here. ;)

I'll have to wait and see if I'll still need the complete interim (£430) at 20k miles, plus potentially brake fluid change, and air con service... :o

Air con service is a rip off at £200 and probably isn’t needed

I agree ... never needed one on my BMW in 5 years... is this a part of the service plan? , its an eye opener for me as a potential future owner.

Air conditioning service is a dealership add on and not necessary.

The cost is in line what we paid down South.

I would only have the interim service done and brake fluid changed (that needs to be done every two years on any car really).
As others have said the aircon re-charge is not necessary and even if you did want it done, it is too over priced at OPC.

So that brings us down to £525 in total. :-)

Thanks guys. Wing Commander that is interesting about "needing" an oil change at 10k. I noticed around about 10k that the oil level was slightly less than maximum so topped it up. Maybe that made a difference in my case?

I would be a bit reluctant to pay £200 for the air conditioning service (but will probably have to at some point :( )

Maybe, but I'm wondering if it's a new ploy by Porsche to earn a few more £££s. :?

Not too worried really, as many on here seem to say that an oil change after the first 10k miles is probably quite a good idea anyway... 🤔

I'm quite a fan of "frequent oil changes" but just a pity it costs so much with Porsche.

I used to work with BP and was able to buy oil at 30p ............for a gallon :o :o :o
