I have 21" Turbo's just over 2 years old of which two are showing signs of corrosion, I noticed one during June past and telephoned my OPC when it was agreed this would be looked at along with corroded center caps when in for 1st service on 31st August, by this time another one was showing signs.
This was duly done and photos taken, only today after several emails and phone calls I was told they would replace the center caps but it was considered the corrosion damage was due to outside influences.
Not very happy  but wondered if anyone else with 21 Turbos has the same problem.
I should say I have never used any kind of wheeler and wash them at least once every week.

How do you treat them after washing?

If you've washed them over 100 times you've probably removed any protection.

Can you post photos of the corrosion on your wheels?

Must admit I have never treated them with anything but have often thought about it - wish I had now if that is the answer.
Will take photo's tomorrow or Sunday and post them Wingco.
OPC have given me a price of £186 each to refurbish them.

Might be worth shopping around and getting a price for refurbishment from a specialist firm. :geek: Probably only worth spending up to £744 if you're going to keep the car for a fair while longer...

Yes these were my thoughts, this one was supposed to be a keeper but have a strong hankering for a GTS.

Diamond cut wheels are near impossible to keep right even in the short term. Without undercoat and just lacour the smallest stone chip will rapidly corrode

Looks like normal damage from sundry chips and knocks, you can see in places where the corrosion migrates from a chip between metal and lacquer.

We used to wipe down wheels with a cloth soaked in WD40 after cleaning but I don't really know if that did much good; in theory they'd need to be bone dry first?

Just been quoted £75 per wheel at my local WheelWorx (sp?) so you could shop around.
