As we live in the country everyone has surplus crap. The local veggie growers want paying to take it.
We live in the country too (well, rural Essex) but the allotments seemingly can't get enough of the stuff!
I will send it by post. A man comes every three years and takes it away for a small fee. I usually have about 6 contributing to the pile 6 months of the year.

If you put the horse manure on your plants, be aware that you may well get lots of weeds coming up too as horses cannot digest seeds. The best way to use the manure is to put it into a barrel of water and use that as a liquid feed for your plants. This also works very well with seaweed if you happen to live near the sea as I do.

No charge for this lovely advice.

As far as I know the heat generated by composting kills a lot of the seeds. Of course some do not get boiled.
