Thanks, Dave. Seen this before, from Paul I think?

Interesting that extras don't affect value at all?!

As you said, entered my car with no options at all, then with £13k of options. No effect at all!

Not that accurate then.

I know that options certainly don't keep all their value, but some do better than others. Many buyers would appreciate air suspension, sport Chrono, rear axle steering, full leather interior... Maybe more contentious is my lovely Carmine Red paint. ;)

I've been using it for about 6-8 years Simon + it's always been pretty near with what I've been offered/actually got when trading in for a new motor - no matter what options have been fitted! 👍

I part exchanged my April 2016 built SD with 18,000 miles on the clock for £42,000 at end of July 2017 at OPC Reading. I watched the approved used website and it did take them a while to shift. First they tried to sell it at some £49,000, but the last price they advertised it at before it sold was £46,435. I was quite pleased with my p/x price as other OPC's offered around £38,000 only.

Good to hear, Dave. :) But why do they bother listing scores of options for you to specify, when it doesn't make a blind bit of difference to their valuation estimate. Totally pointless, surely?

Totally agree Simon - especially when they also go to trouble of having marque specific options.

At the end of the day, I feel a happy chap if I get more than their highest value - even if only by a small amount! Last 3 have been 1 bang on, 1 lower and 1 higher - but last 2 both within £500. ☺

PS....lower one was what OPC offered me when I traded in for the SD! :(

Interesting. I got £11k more from my OPC than the value from this lot. Didn't think it a great deal at the time.....

That’s what I’m going to do. My next car will likely be something alongside the SD rather than a replacement. Sorting out my motorbike is currently a good distraction from buying another car!
