If you are doing a lot of city driving the 2.0 might be the best choice. Not sure what the price difference is. I have never driven a 2.0 so worth testing both.

Good to hear! I may well still have been in mine, had I not been struck by my (911) mid-life crisis!

The difference is currently £2,372, or less than the cost of upgrading to metallic paint and 20" wheels. :ugeek:

It's obvious from the pricing that the base Macan isn't a car which Porsche expect to sell in any numbers - it exists primarily to make their overall emission figures look a bit better. As I understand it, production of the base model is fairly sporadic; dealers don't have slots allocated, they have to put in a request and see whether Porsche might deign to make one.
Macan S collected 4 Dec 2017 - Jet Black, 20" SportDesign, Agate/Pebble, 18-way, Pano roof, Bi-Xenons with PDLS, Surround View, PASM, PS+, spare wheel, towbar.

Not a lot to people like ourselves :D :D :D but it might make the difference if you had a definite budget.

A person I work with always buys the cheapest model of a car. He is not a particular "car person" so when a car is advertised "from £------" that is the car he buys. His last car was a "basic" Audi A5 - it was horrible :? :? :?

Ha ha! I think the 'basic' car often offers better value than a top of the range model, but even with my 'budget' Macan 2.0, I added metallic paint, 21" Sport Classics and 18-way seats :)

A basic Audi is not the only horrible car.

Take a 2.0 or an S and add nothing or just bling and its horrible to drive.

Uncomfortable seats, hard ride, heavy to park, terrible rear view and lights that hardly illuminate any road, yep nobody should consider buying a poorly specced Macan.
