Hi All

I wanted to check your views on how much this car should be worth at the dealer, noting I am starting to see Macan's getting close to the £30k mark.

2014 Macan S Diesel (believe it is March 14)
White metallic
Adaptive sport seats with 18 memory - black leather
Bose Sound System
Panoramic Sunroof
20 Sport Design Wheels
Sport Chrono
PASM
35k miles
Sensors with rear camera

Downside:
no privacy glass
no 21s
not black/grey

Would you think this is a good option? It is with my preferred dealer hence considering it

You mean the sticker price starts with a '3'! In reality there's virtually no change from £40K for anyone paying sticker. Someone more expert will have to comment about whether the price is good or otherwise - personally I'd have guessed it was about par nowadays, but what do I know?

PS I'm bound to say that your downsides are all personal preference. For me, they'd all be upsides! 8-)

effectivelly yes, £40k their car whilst seeing some on Auto Trader getting close to £31k (albeit with 60-70k miles) hence the question of what would be a fair price for this car

True upside/downside depends on personal taste

I think a fair price depends on whether it’s an OPC or not as prep standards and warranty will differ. For an OPC, I’d guess a fair price is £38-40k and for a non-Porsche dealer, more like £36-£38k.

Personally I have seen better, there are two on auto trader with Opc Bournemouth, both have a great spec.. they are both 2017 7.5k... 50k .. so basically 10k buys you , 3 years newer... 30k less miles... and no down sides with a full spec Macan. Just my thoughts.. of course it’s 10k which is a lot of money to consider.

£39995 sounds pricey to me for a 14 plate diesel. Haggle hard.

I’d have to agree with Mike (and his Macan), if you can afford the extra £10k then a newer car is a better option. I’d suggest that if £40k is your limit then look around as you may find a car that has the options you want at that price point. No regrets then...
