My OPC reluctantly replaced the smeary wipers on my brand new Macan back in June making the (unnecessary) point that they were doing it as a goodwill gesture as not covered by warranty. Goodwill bollox thought I - they were faulty. The replacements are fine.

I was washing the McCann yesterday, the first in a few weeks, and I noticed the blade rubber sitting at a most peculiar angle. On one wiper only. I fiddled and futured and eventually got the whole thing back into shape. Possibly the power wash had pushed the rubber partly out of the holder. I have never seen that before and I wasn’t born yesterday.

Just jumping on the wiper bandwagon here, but anyone know how to get the rear wiper to 'stand up' vertically and away from the glass? Mine only lifts up a small amount, unlike our Q5? I almost snapped it off the other day when washing it, as I expected it to just lift up - nothing in the manual?

My front wipers have recently taken to slapping the A pillar on the drivers side and it's driving me nuts. No sign of any damage so I don't know why it would be doing this.

No, it doesn't lift any higher than that, just enough to clean the glass underneath.

Note that Porsche recommend only water rinsing of the blades and avoiding rubbing them with anything so as not to damage the blade edge and its coating. Some on here criticise the Porsche wipers but it may be because they have damaged them through over enthusiastic and incorrect cleaning.

I am very guilty of "getting my moneys worth" from wipers. Unless they were visibly damaged I was unlikely to replace them. You should probably replace them every year (or every 6 months in Scotland :D ).
