Thanks for sharing, Steve.
Not all will agree with the result.
Seems odd to compare a £50k Audi with cars costing £70k+ from Range Rover & Porsche.

Had they put the 2.0 Macan in the group test, instead of the Turbo PP, it would probably have won!

Thanks for forwarding the link. Completely understand why the SQ5 won especially given the price difference. I can’t really understand why the Velar came 2nd and not 3rd.
That said, given the choice I know which I’d want outside my house...

Have to agree.
I also have to say the cockpit of the SQ5 reminds me of a Toyota from the 1990's and that is not a good thing.

Ah well.....here's What Car's Macan verdict on the various engine options:
Diesel PDK
The 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel pulls strongly, from very low revs, so it feels satisfyingly relaxed and rapid at all relevant road speeds. It’s also very refined, and works perfectly with the standard seven-speed auto, and it’s our pick of the range.

There is only one SUV (where S stands for Sport) in this comparison test.
The others are either PUV (Posh Utility Vehicle for the Velar) and CUV (Cheaper Utility Vehicle, in this case, for the SQ5)
it seems that 300+ HP qualify for a Sport label nowdays .... hum the new Scania Truck S series has 730HP, does not make it a Sport truck !!!
