Just had first oil change and the normal level indication is not available. The garage tell me that the engine has to get hot before it will read after a change. Sounds like b/s to me.
Anyone got any ideas?
Tks

The engine needs to be at normal operating temperature. the car needs to be level and the engine stopped for at least a minute.

Yep. Funnily enough, it’s covered in the manual.

Ah the old RTFM solution. Rarely used but often effective. It’s a little like rebooting an unresponsive PC before calling tech support!

I had similar issue on all my Audi’s. Took around a week for it to be displayed for me as all I did was very short journeys and engine temp never got up.

Mine was fine once I did a run.

Nah. You don’t want to do that. Imagine if we all knew everything. No Forum then.

7,500 miles done and oil top up needed. Less than 1litre. Anything unusual there?

I have done nearly 9,000 miles with no indication that a top up is required

I put in about half a litre at 9k miles. Was the same on the Cayman and never needed another drop
