As usual the motoring journalists wax lyrical about the Macan..then put in their sucker punch about being pricey and not roomy enough. Not that pricey when you consider retained value and roomy enough so that it's not like driving a barge. I was expecting him to end the piece with the predictable RR promtion.😂

The phrase "defy the laws of physics" has been much used in relation to Porsche SUVs. I think it was Steve Sutcliffe (then of Autocar) who first used it to describe the second generation Cayenne Turbo. They're not wrong about Porsche SUVs all handling better than expected.

My thought exactly when I opened the thread. I believe it should have read, "Last newspaper review for the Macan" bearing in mind that the facelift will be revealed very shortly. Did this journalist spent the last 4 years under a rock?

But they've had a video review back in 2014. So much "reporting " is crap that I have to wonder why they bother. Ludicrous to even raise it not being a 7seater so not comparable...so why make the comparison? In many cases they are as bad as comment trolls "I brought the Macan but it's load space was too small" like it shrunk in the wash! Generally seem scared to committing to an opinion on fact eg. stupid phrases in the video "feels like a premium car inside". It is a premium car. Never appear to have an idea as to what they agree is the price point of the drive quality to begin with. I'm sure that Porsche could bump the base price by £5K and add "3 missing" options that would cost £3K separately and reviewers would be happy!

Reviewers I like are Autogefühl and Marek Drives for Porsche ownership Nick Murray...best run through of options ever.

Yeah just enjoy Marek's humour and interested in the more basic vehicle development... hey I remember being taken around dealers by my dad when he was deciding to replace his Renault 4 with a Polski Fiat or Lada estate 😄

I owned a 2CV once. One of the best cars I have ever owned. Leaked like a sieve - I installed a radio which sat on the dash panel wrapped up inside a plastic bag to keep the rain out! I'd have another one in a heartbeat. Can't forget the reg - F226 PPP, car was nicknamed PeePee. Great wee car.

As above, totally agree on Nick Murray and Autogefuhl. Great videos/reviews. Less familiar with Marek...
