I'm barely out of newbie shorts compared to some here, but forums are a bit like real life - people come and go. This one is much friendlier than most, and genuinely useful, and I plan to keep the Macan long term. So I'm afraid I'll be hanging around. ;)

Re the 911 migration, I don't see it happening in my case. It wouldn't work for me as a Macan replacement, and (heresy alert) I didn't find the 997T I had a few years ago to be quite exciting enough as a weekend toy. Oh gawd, what have I said...

Or out of a Macan, into a 911, into a Panamera, into a 911...

P.S. Who's buying a Cayman? :?:

Let's not exaggerate, Paul! I had my lovely Macan 2.0 for a whole 4 weeks before the 911 bug bit!

Well i for one am now enjoying my red macan gts loving the noise it makes me smile when i am driving hard down country
roads it is to me a 911 on stillts
Ive had 911 s before and they were great fun but 996 and 997 were much smaller than the curent 911 so it has not tempted me
I was thinking about a 718 before the macan gts but i think i made the right choice

Not sure I ever heard the proper story as wasn’t a forum member then. What was it after only 4 weeks that convinced you to change?
