Xenons or LED
Just a quick question, currently have the Xenons which are great, you guys with the LED are they that much better, I do struggle with night time driving, wife’s Merc has LED and I do like them but do they make so much difference on the Macan.

The xenons are great lights and perfectly adequate for all night time driving situations. The LEDs produce a whiter light but not necessarily a longer range. Some on here will tell you there’s a big difference but I think it is mainly those with not so good night vision who feel the benefit. One downside is dazzle of other drivers who will flash you a lot and increased reflection from road signs that will dazzle you! Having said all that, on the GTS it’s not an expensive upgrade and since you say your night vision isn’t great, if that’s what you mean by ‘struggling with night time driving’, then maybe the LEDs will help you.

As someone who struggles with night time driving I’ve found the LEDs on the Macan totally awesome - so much so it was the first box on the options list I ticked on the 911 despite being nearly £2k. Personally I find the range very superior and the colour means it’s like driving in daylight. If you struggle with night driving LEDs will be a revelation.

LED lights on a GTS a no brainer at the minimal cost involved. They follow the road around corners, look sideways at junctions, and in eighteen months I never got flashed once, if anything I found them a bit quick to dip and come back on full beam. The Xenons originally had the same features but seem to have lost this now that LEDs are an option.
I would love to have had them on my 911 but at nearly 2k for a fun driving car not likely to be used much in the dark they just weren't worth it, when like the Macan GTS xenons were standard.

If you haven’t already done so, it might help to consult an optometrist regarding night driving. There are lens coatings and/or specialist lenses that might help.

Great tube clip.
I have never driven an LED lit car and do a lot of night driving, my Macan had Xenon PLDS and found they were great was like driving in a well lit tunnel.
I have also test driven a 992 overnight with PLDS maybe because you are sitting lower down on maybe the headlight actual physical height is lower but IMO they were not as good as the Macan's.
Spec'd PDLS on my 992 I couldn't quite afford the LEDS at £1835 or £2268 (black) never mind.
They looked very effective though, shucks !
