About £500 - 1k on a standard car but could be £2k + on a £100k car

+1...

I lost 2.5k on the value of my RS4 by taking it on the 14th Feb vs the 1st of March...to be fair, I gained a bit through the deal that was offered, but due to PCP and the monthly's adjusting, it left me short when I chopped it in at 2.5 yrs...

Always wait till the new reg if within 2 months I'd say...

Valentines present...? :)
Cost me an engagement ring...and a wedding that followed! Ha

Trade in values and for sale prices differ by about 2k on the reg change from a 64 to a 15 on an rs4. (Mileage and spec dependant). I managed to get some of mine back through going sale or return.

I was initially offered 36k, got 39.5, friend on a 15 got 40 for a 2x mileage and not Nogaro selection. Think its really car specific, and tye b8 rs4 had god awful residuals!

Would the dealer not permit the car to go to the detailers prior to registration? That would eliminate a week of waiting?
