Am looking forward to less tyre/road noise then, when I swap from my Panamera 4 on 21"s to my 911 Carrera T on 20"s. ;)

Although I'm sure that any benefit will be counteracted by less sound proofing in the T. :ugeek:

I think you might find the T i little bit noisier and less refined than the Panamera but isn't that one of the reasons you ordered it?

Ha ha - yes, exactly, VanB. My above comment was slightly tongue-in-cheek! ;)

I am really looking forward to getting back to a genuine, premium sports car with a more interactive & less 'detached' driving experience. :)

I've missed my Cayman every day since I sold it and, whilst I thought the Macan was brilliant (now sold), it simply wasn't as engaging to drive. I'm hoping the 911 GTS will give me the best of both worlds with a little more interior space and an engaging drive along with a bit more noise. The Macan was almost too refined for my liking and whisper quiet at motorway speeds and I no longer need a practical 4 seater especially as my wife has a Q5. Just wish I had gone from the Cayman to a 911 having waited a little longer but then sometimes you need to make a mistake like that to fully understand what you want.

Every day that goes by is a day closer and the time is going VERY slowly. Especially as I am currently driving my daughter's 1L C1 which is like a biscuit tin on wheels powered by a sewing machine engine with a telematics box fitted so one eye on the road and one on the speedo at all times and ensuring all driving inputs are smooth as silk. It's like being in detention!

Estimated date to the OPC is around 18/02 as it went into build on Tuesday this week so that's 3 weeks from build but I wouldn't take delivery before 01/03 unless the OPC make it worth my while. It then goes for ceramic coating so realistically I won't take proper delivery until 2nd week of March

Not long at all! :) I think my 911 will be about 4 weeks behind yours. My CP08 (?) date is 20th March. OPC estimated about two weeks from build completed stage to arriving at OPC, although I appreciate that this can vary.

For only 10 days, I'd wait for the 18 plate too. :geek:

+1...

I lost 2.5k on the value of my RS4 by taking it on the 14th Feb vs the 1st of March...to be fair, I gained a bit through the deal that was offered, but due to PCP and the monthly's adjusting, it left me short when I chopped it in at 2.5 yrs...

Always wait till the new reg if within 2 months I'd say...

£2.5k for one reg to another ? Isn’t that a lot ? Thought usually the new plate was an impact of £500 or so.
