I had a 166 with that beautiful V6 engine. Didn't need any oil outside the scheduled services. Pretty dodgy electrics though, and the value dropped like a stone. RX8 was the worst offender I've had - that had a serious drinking problem. But as the dealer said, TADTS.

Is it not 20k or 2 years anymore?

Edit: Just checked my dash and it shows about 19,300 miles and exactly 2 years for 1st oil change. Same for 1st interim service and then 4 years out till 1st main service.

Not all are 2 years or 20k miles- seem to recall WingCo having an oil change at 10k on the Panamera and SDs I think are 10k too

IIRC the service intervals are 20k, but the indicator on our McCann advised an oil change at 10k. My 718 is approaching 11k and the indicator says service in 9000 miles. Maybe diesels are different?

I think diesels are condition based servicing but not sure

The OPC told me that my Panamera (petrol 3.0 V6) has 'condition-based' oil change intervals. As you say, VanB, it wanted an oil change at 10k miles & it's asking for a second oil change once it reaches 20k miles (at interim service). Several Macaneers have also advised that their Macans wanted an oil change at 10k miles too.
