Porsche Tracker deactivating

Hi all
I have stopped the subscription for the tracker that comes as standard on the Macan.
Rather annoyingly the yellow alert still comes up on startup. I can remove ( reduce!) this by pressing the right hand toggle with on the steering wheel but would really like to deactivate it 100%. OSP advised that once activated cannot remove but this seems crazy1
Has anyone managed to resolve this and can advise?

Cheers Phil

In the short term just leave the tracker dongle in the car?

.??? Not very helpful I know, but on my first SD after the 6 month (or was it 12?) foc bit I didn’t renew and never got the yellow warning....

1st step, speak to someone else at the dealership.....then speak to another dealership....then speak to customer services......

I can’t believe for one minute it “ can’t be removed”......

When I didn't renew after 6 months it just disappeared, must be a bug somewhere.

This would seem to be the obvious solution

Hi

Thanks for replies.
Yes did try putting dongle in car but didn't work. Not 100% sure if the dongle is charged as red light not always on so will try again.
Will try another official garage as I agree it must just be a setting ( was homing it was something I could reset)

Cheers

I don't use the provided tracker but did get a warning after about 12 months to warn of a low battery on one of the tags. I took them out of the car and the warnings stopped.

Not sure if this will work in your circumstances.

I seem to remember, reading the manual, that you have to un-tick an option in the multi function display, so that the car stops searching for the Porsche Car Connect, the Vodafone Automotive services.

Oh yes, you need to de-activate the Car Connect or something like that in the Multifunction Display.

It worked for me, when my Vodafone Automotive subscription ended after the first year.

Have a read through this too: http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/201 ... escription

Hello Phil, you can see that the CAR CONNECT option under Vehicle / Settings is greyed out in my car because I disabled it. If it’s not greyed out in your vehicle options, you can disable it here when you select it.
