Or keep it simple and just use 313ps BiTurbo Audi 3.0 diesel used in the SQ5 and A6 for quite a few years. However if they were going to provide more power in the diesel they would have done so by now I would think.

I was sort of hoping this could be the answer to the current Diesel problems encountered in the SD..

I'm driving that engine just now in an A6 Allroad...it does not lack the shove! Bit fussy when cold and pulling away from standstill but it really gets going well...

Had an SQ5 before my Macan and it was a pretty sweet drive. Plenty of linear power with nice noises, albeit fake noises but did turn heads.

I had the A7 biTDI 3.0L and I loved it. Great engine, great car..

Agree enjoyed my test drive in one.. the new one looks very special inside.

Audi expects that 80 percent of UK sales of this new 2018 A7 will be with this 50 TDI diesel engine compared to just 20 percent taking the 55 TFSI petrol version.
